16 Air Assault Brigade (Badge Above) of which the Bn is part off.

The Brigades name is derived from the Ist and 6th Airborne Divisions of World War 2. The Striking Eagle badge was adopted from the Special Training Centre, in Lochailot, Scotland during the war.

The maroon and light blue colours of the badge represent the Airborne and Aviation elements of the Brigade.
